Reid Jakelski.

Reid runs Old Mountain Carpentry, a custom woodworking and home improvement shop based in Pleasant Hills, Maryland. He's been doing carpentry, cabinetry, and finish work in northern Maryland for years.

Every project is a unique partnership, which means I'm with you from the first consultation to the final sweep-up. I take the stress and guesswork out of the equation by keeping the process simple, transparent, and highly collaborative.

Once the build begins, we use a combination of traditional craftsmanship, precision techniques, and quality materials to bring your vision to reality.

Core Values

  1. Craftsmanship that lasts. Solid stock and proper joinery — real wood, traditional methods, and no shortcuts where they'd show down the line.
  2. Honest communication. A clear written scope and a straight estimate. If something changes, you hear about it before it happens.
  3. Respect for your home. Floors covered, dust contained, and a broom-out at the end of every day.
  4. Done means done. The punch list is mine, not yours — the job isn't finished until it's right.
